Why does no one talk about the fact that Shane was a street prostitute down in Santa Monica? 

She would give handjobs to men for money for drugs. No one talks about this. I think its very horrible that Shane’s addiction allowed her to do those things, and I think people need to understand that Shane is a lot more complicated than the super hot dyke who gets all the girls. 
She is an orphan who had so much depression because she couldn’t handle the fact that everyone wanted her body all the time and she felt like she needed to give them what they wanted. She felt like she needed to allow people to get pleasure from her body because that was the only thing they wanted from her, and if they wanted her at all she was okay with it because she was abandoned her whole life. 

She wasnt some whore who went around sleeping with everyone. She couldnt love people because she felt that if she ever committed to one person they would leave her. She thought that was a fact. And thats why she went form girl to girl. Plus she was good at sex and it gave her confidence every time a girl loved what she did to their body. 

Shane is misunderstood all the time. You cant just dismiss her as the hot dyke who gets all the girls because she actually had a lot of traumatic things happen to her and the only way she knows how to successfully deal with it is through sex.
